Hey guys
Time for the last post on the TV shows I am currently watching.
#1. Nikita - Three Seasons.
Nikita is a trained assassin gone rogue trying to stop a secret U.S. agency known only as Division from recruiting deeply troubled teenagers and training them to be assassins.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this show when I first started watching this. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I like the idea of assassins being kept hidden underground. While Nikita does all she can to ruin Divisions missions and save the people that they are trying to kill. All characters are played and work together well. There is a lot of back stories to be told and a lot of space for the characters to develop.
#2. Hawaii Five -O - Three Seasons.
Steve McGarret returns home to Oahu, in order to find his fathers killer. The governor offers him the chance to run his own task force.
I'd never seen the original series so I put off giving the remake a go. But eventually decided to watch the first episode and the rest as they say was history. It's a funny & well written show, the banter between Steve and Danno is hilarious and makes the show realistic. All characters have different back stories which all come to light during the episodes. It's a great show and is well worth watching.
#3. Hart Of Dixie - Two Seasons.
New Yorker and new doctor Zoe Hart accepts an offer from a stranger, Dr Harley Wilkes, to work in his medical practice in Bluebell, Alabama. She arrives to find he has died and left half the practice to her in his will.
I only really watched this show because of Rachel Bilson. It's nothing like your typical doctor drama show. Zoe is treated as an outsider as she is from New York so she has to work hard to prove herself. She gets picked on a lot by Lemon a Southern Belle. It's a little unrealistic at times and Zoe as a doctor is not believe able but if you want a light hearted show that doesn't take it's self to seriously then give it a go.
#4. White Collar - Four Seasons.
A white collar criminal agrees to help the FBI catch other White collar criminals using his expertise as an art and securities thief, counterfeiter and racketeer.
It's a well written show. The first episode is humorous & interesting and only gets better. A fast paced show but not impossible to follow. They have wacky crimes to solve all seemingly impossible until Neil gets his hands on them. If you're looking for a smart & funny but light show then this is for you.
#5. Covert Affairs - Four Seasons.
A young CIA operative/trainee, Annie Walker, is sent into the field to work for the DPD (Domestic Protection Division).
Another great show. I've watched this show from the very beginning. The relationship between Annie & Auggie is sweet and believable. Some episodes leave you thinking "that was a bit over the top" you're occasionally left on the edge of your seat while you wait to find out if Annie completes her mission and gets out alive. Total heart pumping show.
#6. Perception - Two Seasons.
Dr. Daniel pierce is an eccentric neuroscientist who uses his unique outlook to help the federal government solve complex criminal cases.
There is something about these kind of shows that has me totally hooked, its the same as Elementary. I love how both the main characters minds work when it comes to solving murders. Eric plays his character really well that its believable & all episodes are interesting. If you like elementary then you will probably like this show.
#7. Mistresses - One Season.
Four Friends. Four hearts. 13 weeks of seduction.
I only started watching this show because of Alyssa and I was surprised at how good it is and it's only in its first season. Some of the story lines are a bit silly but still leaves you hooked. I don't want to spoil anything by revealing to much, but I will say just because the show is called Mistresses don't think it's just about four women sleeping around because its not. Just give it a go and see what you think.
#8. The Client List - Two Seasons.
Riley is a single mother living in a small Texas town and leading a shocking double life.
Based on the movie of the same name only the show is a hell of a lot better. It's an easy to watch show. The acting is questionable at times. Riley's husband disappears & she must now get a job to provide for her children. She gets a job giving massages but doesn't realise "extras" are given. Every week you're left wondering if they will get busted & the forbidden love going on with her brother in law. It's entertaining and worth giving it a chance.
#9. Anger Management - Two Seasons.
A guy is sentenced to anger management counselling with an aggressive instructor.
It's not a masterpiece of a show and its watchable, other than Charlie the rest of the acting is questionable and makes you cringe, but some of the jokes are funny and does make you laugh. If you're looking for something to fill the void of Two and Half Men the give the show a watch.
#10. Tia And Tamera - Three Seasons.
The series goes inside the lives of celebrity identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry as they balance their acting careers with major life transformation of marriage and motherhood.
I've liked the sisters ever since Sister Sister. It's nice to see they have grown up into beautiful women with adorable children. It's a nice peek into their everyday lives and how they deal with everyday problems.
#11. The Fosters - One Season.
A multi-ethnic family mix if foster, adopted and biological kids are being raised by two moms.
My new favourite show. A unique and an extremely well written show with amazing acting by everyone. The show address all different issues such as being gay, being adopted and foster kids falling for other foster kids. The show makes you see that there's nothing wrong with being different and that having same sex parents are just as good at parenting as everyone else. It's only in its first season and I can't wait to see where this show goes. Do what ever you can to watch this show because you are truly missing out on something special.
And that completes this series. Phew I bet you were all thinking it was never going to end. I can't believe I watch so many great shows and I expect more will be added. I hope you enjoyed this mini series, be sure to check out my previous posts if you need to catch up :)
Till next time
XOXO
Debbie
