Ho ho ho

Seeing as it is December it's only right that the next couple of Sunday book post contain Christmas books for you to read over the festive break. I spent ages on Amazon finding the best books that I think will be perfect to read this Christmas.

A heart warming true story perfect for Christmas

Description
When Suzanne was left, two weeks old, at the door of Nazareth House orphanage, she was abandoned by those who should have protected and loved her. But it was Nancy, a nanny at the orphanage, who was to provide all the love and support that a child could need, going on to fight for the right to adopt Suzanne and give her a mother figure for life.

Christmas at the Ragdoll Orphanagr tells the story of these women, of how their lives entwined and of life at the orphanage. It was a magical place where their lack of money could only be substituted by kindness, as every year Nancy would work tirelessly throughout the night before Christmas to see together dolls made out of rags, so that the children would have at least one present from Santa. But the story also tells of how their lives came full circle, as towards the end of her life, Nancy develops dementia, with Suzanne in turn becoming the supportive, protective caregiver.

Description
Issy Randall, proud owner of the Cupcake Cafe, is in love and couldn't be happier. Her new business is thriving and she is surrounded by close friends, even if her cupcake colleagues Pearl and Caroline aren't quite as upbeat about the upcoming season of snow and merriment. But when her boyfriend Austin is scouted for a possible move to New York, Issy is forced to face up to the prospect of a long-distance romance. And when the Christmas rush at the cafe...with it's increased demand for her delectable creations - begins to take its toll, Issy has to decide what she holds most dear.

This December, Issy will have to rely on all her reserves of courage, good nature and cinnamon, to make sure everyone has a merry Christmas, one way or another...

--------------------------------------------

Even though all three of these books sound great I think I will probably add Christmas at the Ragdoll Orphanage to my reading list as the story piqued my bookbuds (like taste buds but book version, that will totally catch on in 2014 so remember you heard it here first. Lol).

What do you think of these recommendations, will you be reading any of them over the festivebreak?

Till next time

XOXO
Debbie
