Christmas Photo Challenge 2013

For the whole month of December I created the Christmas Photo Challenge where every day I took a picture that was Christmas related and posted it to Instagram & Twitter and now that the challenge is finished, I thought I would do a recap of all the pictures I took for those of you that didn't see them on the web.

1st December

Advent - This year I got a Monsters University calendar, haven't had one in a few years but the chocolate sure has gotten smaller since I was a child (they use to be massive back in the day, anyone else remember that?)

2nd Decemeber

Selfie - just a plain old selfie while wearing my flannel shirt (Primark) and my reindeer hat (Primark).

3rd December

Drink - Hot Chocolate is the only hot drink I can stand and I always have it in my Eeyore mugs (which I have quite a few of)

4th December

Jumper - I've had this jumper for a couple if years and it's really the only "Christmas-ish" jumper I've got. It's got stars on it, so it sorta counts...right? (Jumper is from Primark)

5th December

Song - I decided to go for the John Lewis advert song. They always have wicked adverts and this year was no different. I originally liked the song from Keane but Lily Allen's version is just as good & got me into the Christmas spirit.

6th December

Word - This is probably the only year from what I can remember that we've had a Christmas word in the house and there is always a debate on how to pronounce it.

7th December

Wish-list - Instead of a Christmas wish list I did a dream wish list of items I would buy if I had tons of money (which I don't hence it's a dream wish list) and it consists of a Apple Mac Book, Combat boots (Debenhams) Make up brushes (I currently own one) and some jeans (I currently own two pairs.

8th December

Shoes - My current slippers which I've had since August and they are super comfy (can you guess where they are from hehe)

9th December

Hat - It wouldn't be Christmas without a Christmas hat and while out shopping in Primark (lol) I found this little beauty and just had to buy it. It's super festive and a hit with all the adults & children.

10th December

Weather - We never have any decent weather here in the UK and that day was no different it was super cold and dark out.

11th December

Candle - I'm always burning this candle as you can probably tell from the blackness of it. It's a wonderful smell and really gets you feeling like it is Christmas.

It's from the Yankee range in the scent Christmas Cookie.

12th December

Wrapped Present - I never do anything fancy to the presents I wrap, but this present was for my mother and it was a pack of stripping tape for her nails which I got from eBay.

13th December

Sweets - Instead of the normal peppermint Candy Canes I opted for Fruit flavoured ones, which at first taste a bit odd until you get use to the taste then they are pretty damn nice.

14th December

Christmas Tree - We normally have brighter lights on the tree but they all seem to be in the middle of the tree this year. We had the same tree which is fake every since I was a lil baby and it's still going strong....sort of. Perhaps it's time for a new one next year.

15th December
Cracker - This poor lonely cracker was left over from 2012, we must of pulled all his mates. So this year I will make it my mission to use him up.

16th

Cracker - Most of the cards my family received this year was of Santa, but this card was probably the best, after all who doesn't love Penguins in scarves and hats?

17th December
Nails - Every week leading up to Christmas I did my mums nails with all Christmas designs. Snowmen, Christmas Tree & Santa with his reindeers including Ruldoph.

18th December

Ornament - Just your average snowman in his fancy gear.

19th December

Santa - This old chap is suppose to sing and dance which use to be pretty cool but we lost the plug years ago so now he just stands there and hangs out.

20st December

Film - For me it has to be Home Alone 1 & 2 it's such a feel good film with plenty of laughs that's perfect for the family.

21nd December
Window - Unfortunately I was a bad picture taker as I didn't have a Christmas Window so I just missed it out.

22nd December

Top of the Tree - Mr Robin sits on our tree every year but he appears to be taking a dive.

23rd December
Stocking - I didn't have a stocking this year so I was unable to take a picture.

24th December
Pjs - again I have failed in this challenge. I don't really wear normal pjs so I forgot to take a picture.

25th December

OOTD & Dinner - I stayed in my Pjs all which I didn't capture. And my dinner was lush, I had turkey & stuffing with roasted vegetables (Carrots, Parsnips, Brussels & Onion) which I cooked myself (just call me Delia)

26th December

Presents - just a few of the gifts I was lucky enough to receive. You can check out my What I Got For Christmas post to see everything I got.

--------------------------------------------

That's it for this post. I didn't do to badly with this challenge, I only missed three days which is pretty good. I enjoyed doing this challenge and hope to do it again next year. Did you take part?

XOXO
Debbie
