1D & Shrek The Musical Movie Reviews

Hey lovelies

Last week I set about watching some movies I had wanted to see. I'm not the biggest fan of 1D (One Direction) but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about over the movie & I had been wanting to see Shrek the musical so decided to give it a watch, I'm a big fan of Shrek so I'm glad I was able to watch it. Let's see what I thought of both movies

One Direction - This Is Us 

The Marjority of you will probably know who One Direction are, but for those of you who don't, they are a 5 boys who all audition for X-factor but didn't get through on their own, Simon Cowell then decided to put the 5 boys together and create a boy band called One Direction. This movie documents there journey from the X-factor to recently. Follow them around the world as they perform to millions of fans.

Review

Seeing as I'm not the biggest fan of them, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie....BUT it actually wasn't that bad. I did get bored towards the end that I fell asleep and had to finish it off the following day, but I think that was due to the fact I already knew most of their story so it wasn't anything new. 

I think if you don't know who they are, or you are the biggest fan to ever live or you are just curious you will probably enjoy the movie. It's a nice look at how they are behind the scenes, messing around and having a laugh. It's a nice film that the band can look back on in years to come.

My Rating: 3/5

Would I Recommend?: Sure, but you're not missing anything if you decide not to bother with this film.

Shrek The Musical

I'm hoping you all know who Shrek is and have seen the movie and if you haven't...well then shame on you! Moving on....Shrek is an ogre who sets out to see the King to get rid of the Fairytale characters currently living on his land. Along the way he meets donkey who accompany's him on Shrek's journey to rescue Fiona for the King but Shrek ends up falling for Fiona who is secretly an ogre when nighttime falls.

Review

I am the biggest fan of musicals and I'm LOVE this one. I've never seen a broadway musical before but I'm glad this was my first one because it really was out of this world. It blew my mind. They stick to the same script as the movie but now songs have been added.

The costumes are incredible, the actors are amazing & fit so well to the characters down to a tee, the effects they use are awesome and it's actually pretty funny show that it does leave you laughing out loud. The songs are also funny and is interesting way to tell the story. It is a bit longer than your average movie at just over two hours but it's well worth watching, you get so engrossed in the show that you don't notice how quick the time goes. They even manage to make Donkey just as annoying like he is in the movie & Pinocchio is funny to.

My Rating: 5/5

Would I recommend?: oh yes! It really so funny & worth watching. You won't be disappointed. I can't recommend it enough.

I also manages to come up with this month resolution and for the month of January I'm going to give up chocolate, mostly because it's making my teeth sensitive and I've slightly lost the taste for it. Hopefully a break from eating it will help.
