Product Review: Baby Lips Hydrate Lip Balm

Hey

If you read my review on the Dove Lip Balm then you are aware that I was suffering from dry, chapped and sore lips and as the Dove Lip Balm didn't quite work out for me, I decided to give a new product a go.

I had seen many reviews on the Baby Lips collection by Maybelline and for some reason I was under the impression that they were expensive, so imagine my surprised when I found out they were only £3.00.

Before I went out and brought one I went on to the boots website to see what lip balm would work best for me. I was torn between the Hydration one or the Intense care one. As my lips were dry I figured this time the Hydrate balm would work the best for me.

I was really blown away with this product, within a couple of days my lips were so much better and it was nice to have my lips back to their normal state. When they say this balm is hydrating they are not kidding. The formula is amazing and with the first application you can feel it working, it does have a scent to it which smells really nice and make me want to nibble my lips.

I would definitely re-purchase this product again and look forward to trying the rest in the collection. If you are looking for a lip balm that works then give this one a try as it truly does work.

Till next time

XOXO
Debbie

FTC: I purchased this product myself and all opinions are my own and 100% true.

Make up for beginners #4

Hey friend

We all get breakouts on different parts of our face, but did you know what they all meanings?. Scroll below and have your mind blown.

1 & 2 - Digestive System.
This area indicates that you should eat less processed or junk food, also step up your water intake

3 - Liver.
Cut out or cut down your intake of alcohol & greasy foods. This is the zone where food allergies show up first. Also get a decent amount of sleep so your liver can rest.

4 & 5 - Kidneys.
Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration so increase your water intake

6 - Heart.
Checking your blood pressure is a good start. Increase your intake of Omega 3 and 6 which can be found in nuts, avocados & fish.

7 & 8 - Kidneys.
Who knew that problems with your kidneys show up on your ears - mind blown. Again drink more water and cut down on coffee and alcohol.

9 & 10 - Respiratory System.
Try & cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Avoid foods that are acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol and caffeine) Try to add more green veggies & vitamins. Also change your pillow cases and clean your phone as they harbour bacteria & are acne culprits.

11 & 12 - Hormones.
The zone for stress and hormonal changes. While sometimes, it can be unavoidable but you can decrease their effect. Taking time to relax, getting enough sleep, drinking more water & keeping clean. Interesting fact - breakouts in this area indicate when you are ovulating (and on which side)

13 - Stomach.
Increase fibre intake (breakfast cereals have fibre in them) drink herbal teas to help with digestion.

14 - Illness.
Spots here could indicate your body is fighting bacteria to avoid illness. Take time to rest, have a nap & drink water. Sleeping more helps your body to recover from any illness.

This is just a general guide to point you in the right direction. These tips are no way set in stone. Always see a doctor if your have any concerns

Allegiant Book Review

Hey

You may be aware that the latest Divergiant book was released and it is called Allegiant which is the last book in the Divergiant series. I got myself a copy and finished it a couple of days ago and thought I would share my thoughts on it.

Allegiant
Veronica Roth
Oct 2013

Description:
What if a single revelation - like a single choice - changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered - fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she's know, Tris is ready.

But Tris's new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature - and of herself - while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

My Review:
Storyline - The book carries on from where the last book ended. Now Tris, Tobias and a few others form another group know as Allegiant who are trying to escape from their city to find out what awaits them beyond the gates. You also get to read about the history of the factions and how they came about.

Characters - Most of the characters from the previous books are also in this one. There are also new characters some likeable and others not so much. Unfortuntley some do die so tissues at the ready :(

Overall -  It was a while ago that I read insurigant so I had trouble remembering where it ended when I first started reading Allegiant but the book catches you back up pretty quick.

I started off being pretty disappointed with this story as a quarter of the way in, it started to resemble the mazer runner series which I'm a huge fan of but I was hoping there would be another reason for the factions etc but it's was near enough the same as the maze runner. I honestly didn't see the ending coming and felt quite sad but I enjoyed it non the less and it was pretty brave for the author to end the book as she did.

My rating: 8/10 - marks off for pretty much having the same storyline as the maze runner series.

Would I recommend?: yes. If you've read all the others then you will enjoy finding out how it ends.

Till next time
