Fashion Friday #2

Hey guys

Friday has rolled around again, feels like only yesterday I was doing the first Fashion Friday. Without further ado let me show you what I wore today :)

The first thing I picked was this GEEK fleece jumper, its mild out today so didn't want to wear too many layers and thought this was perfect. It's a grey, full length sleeves jumper, fits really nicely and is very soft. I got this from Ebay priced at £8.00.

Next I paired it with these light blue skinny jeans. These fit me really well are are flattering to my figure. I got these from Primark priced at £9.00

My feet are always cold so I try to wear my UGG boots as often as I can as they keep my little tootsies warm. I went for the short light brown pair. These were also from Primark and cost £5.00.

Lastly as its not cold out I decided to wear my purple body warmer which I got last Christmas from (can u guess?) Primark lol and was priced at about £15.00

And that completes Fashion Friday #2. I hope you enjoyed this post :)

Till next time

September's You Beauty Discovery Subscription Box

Hey guys

Today's post is about a new beauty subscription box that I have discovered and never heard of before called You Beauty Discovery, once I saw how cheap it was I quickly signed up.

Just like most beauty boxes you get 5 samples and you get to pick 2 of them yourself from a list, they then add some extras to make up the 5 samples and best of all it's only £6.95 with P&P included. How great is that!! The only downside is it's only available in the UK. Shall we take a look in my box?

It comes in this small cream box with black outline with the company's name in the middle of the box.

Upon opening the box the first thing you see is a booklet which isn't really that informative and a voucher for one of the samples. Underneath those are my samples and I'm excited to see what I've got.

The first thing I pick up is a nail file this is a full size sample from the brand The Vintage Cosmetic Company

It comes in a plastic case to keep it clean when it's in your bag or laying in a draw. One side has a floral print while the other side just has the brand name. You can purchase this item at www.thevintagecosmeticcompany.co.uk and is priced at £2.

The next sample which I got to choose myself, is a pretty decent size sample 10ml of the Caudalíe Vinoperfect Radiance Sérum

I've heard of this brand before and have watched reviews on other products by this company so I'm excited to try this out. It claims to correct and prevent dark spots, evens skin tone and boost skins radiance. ( no price is given or where you can buy it from)

My third item is a perfume sample, I love these types of samples as its an cheap way to try out new scents before you invest in a bigger size.

It's by the company Lalique which I've never heard of and the scent is Satine, it's smells amazing  described as an intensely modern and seductive perfume with a beautifully irresistible scent. it lingers on your skin all day. This is a scent I would be happy to purchase in full. (Again no price was given or where you can purchase it from)

My next sample which I was also able to pick was the BB cream by Decléor (5ml) also another brand I'm not familiar with.

It's got SPF 15 in it, the sample claims to deliver 24-hour hydration alongside an adaptable shade for an even complexion and brighter skin tone. When I went to apply this I was shocked at how dark it was and to my nose it has a horrible scent but once applied you can't really smell it. It also left me looking shiny so may be worth just setting it with a powder or setting spray. (No price is given to how much this costs or where you can buy it from)

My last sample was this liquid drink called Pure Gold Collagen from the company Gold Collagen. Not very excited about this and wont be drinking it. I don't believe in these types of drinks so I'm gutted this was picked.

This drink is an anti-ageing supplement and claims to work on the visible signs of ageing from the inside out and is more effective than using a topical collagen cream or collagen pill. It is priced at £35.99 for 10 bottles and can be found at Boots.

And that completes my unboxing, if you want to join them you can sign up here :) I hope you enjoyed the box, let me know if you are joined already or plan on joining :)

Till next time guys

Pinterest Saturday #1

Hey guys

I've recently become quite obsessed with Pinterest, if you are already signed up with Pinterest then you already know what I'm talking about hehe.

For those of you that have no idea what Pinterest is then let me enlighten you. Basically all it is, is a website/app that allows you to pin images that you are interested in to a pin-board.

So for those of you that are not yet signed up I thought I would share my pins of the week :)

These are a few of the outfits I've pinned this week. They are perfect for fall/winter and would be really easy to re create yourself

I stumbled across this idea to combine two scarfs together to create this funky pattern.

A way to use an old sock to do your hair.

A cool way to do your nails you could do darker colours with a lighter tip for the fall/winter time.
And something to make you smile :)

I hope you enjoyed my pins this week.

Till next time

XOXO
Debbie

Fashion Friday #1

Hey guys

I thought every Friday I could do a post on my blog called Fashion Friday where I show you pictures of what I wore that day. I'll let you know now the pictures won't be amazing because I'm taking them myself as there is no one to help me and its not easy taking pictures of an outfit on an iPhone, so I apologise now and hope you still enjoy the post regardless :)

The first item of clothing I'm wearing is this really nice deep purple long sleeved top, it's raining outside today so I needed something to keep my little arms warm. The top is also very flattering and fits nicely. I've had this top for a while and picked it up from Primark and was around £5.00.

Next I picked out these dark blue skinny jeans that are suppose to make you bottom appear more lifted lol. (Everyone wants a perky bottom and the jeans do that quite well) I really like them as they fit really well and are comfortable to wear. I picked these jeans up a few months ago from Primark and was around £9.00

As the outfit is a bit plain and dull I decided to add this leopard print scarf to my outfit. It's an extremely long scarf so I tend to knot it together and wrap it around my neck. This was also from Primark (think I shop in Primark a lot lol) and was priced at £5.00

It was raining today so I needed a jacket and thought I would try out the new jacket which features in my Back To Work Shopping Haul. It wasn't very cold out so this jacket was perfect to keep me dry from the rain. This was also from Primark and was £22.00

Last but not least was my shoes and as I couldn't wear my ugg boots because it was raining I instead picked these Grey canvas shoes not really the best shoes to wear in the rain but it wasn't cold enough to wear fur-lined boots lol. These were from Shoezone and cost £4.00

And that completes my first Fashion Friday, I hope you enjoyed this post and again apologise for the bad pictures.

Till next time guys

XOXO
Debbie

Little Face Book Review

Hey guys

Got another book review for you, from my Summer Reading List and again its not a good one, I've been hit with bad books lately which is really disappointing.

Little Face
Sophie Hannah
2006
368 Pages

Description: The first time Alice Fancourt goes out after their daughter is born, she leaves the two week-old infant with her husband, David. When she returns only two hours later, she swears the baby in the crib is not her child. Despite her distress, David is adamant that she is wrong.

With an increasingly hostile and menacing David swearing she must either be mad or lying, how can Alice make the police believe her before it's too late?

Review: I was really looking forward to this book, the plot sounded goog and the previous book I had read by this author was good and well written, but this book is a waste of the paper it's written on.

So many different plots going on within the story that I found it to far fetched and just unbelievable. I managed to get half way through the book before I decided I had, had enough of this story, most of the first half was filled with unnecessary rubbish, it seemed like the author wasn't sure where to take the baby swap story so decided to add bits in to fill out the book, which just wasn't needed. With in the story you had a murder and abuse, with the abuse starting because Alice wouldn't admit that her child hadn't been swapped which to me just didn't seem right or even true. I'm disappointed that this book isn't as good as the back cover leads you to believe.

My Rating: 0/10
Would I recommend: No.

Check out my other book reviews to see what I've been reading :)

City of Bones By Cassandra Clare
Little Miracles By Giselle Green
Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia
Beautiful Chaos By Kami Garcia
Beautiful Redemption By Kami Garcia
The Return By Vicotria Hislop

Till next time :)

Back To Work Shopping Haul!!

Hey guys,

As I no longer go to school anymore, I couldn't really do a back to school haul as that would be a tad silly, but I did go back to work yesterday and went on a shopping trip last week and brought some clothes for work and am going to show you what I got :)

I didn't actually go to that many shops just two in fact and the first shop was Asda.

*image from google images*

Winter is just round the corner for those of us in England and as my job involves me working outside at times I need to stay warm so I saw these two jumpers and just had to have them :)

I picked up a Coral and a Plum colour, they are high low jumpers (high in the front and low in the back) they also have full length sleeves. I have to say these are the softest jumpers I have ever touched. They also fit really nicely. I know I'm going to stay warm in these.

These were priced at at £8 each and both are from Asda.

The last shop I went to was from Primark and this shop has to be my favourite shop ever, their clothes, shoes & accessories are so affordable for everyone's budget.

*image from google images*

My main reason for going into Primark was for a Jacket. I have a coat for the Winter but when it's not so cold outside, I tend to get hot & I wanted to get a jacket for the days when the weather is mild.

The jacket I got was the farmer style quilted jacket and these had arm patches with some on the shoulders which i feel gives it a different look. I really wanted this type  of jacket last year but didn't get round to buying it but this year I made it my mission to get one and I succeeded..yay!

This was priced at £22.00 and was from Primark.

I'm really into Jeggings at the moment and I've currently got them in grey and a light blue colour, I wanted a Winter colour so I picked up a pair in the colour aburgenie.

Jeggings are so comfortable and that's what you need in Winter. These were priced at £7 and come in all different colours.

My next purchase was this comfy purple top.

I've got quite a few tops like this as I really like being comfy and with these types of tops you can throw these over a tank top and you're ready to go. I always get them in a bigger size than I can be super cozy in them.

These were priced at £5.00 and come in different colours.

The last item I got from Primark was these polka dot shoes in Red.

I wanted a bright colour as Winter clothing can get a bit dull so these should inject some colour into any outfit. Plus they are super comfortable.

These were priced at £3.00 and they also come in Blue.

That completes my Back To Work Shopping Haul. I hope you enjoyed this post. Be sure to follow me and all that jazz :)

Till next time guys :)

XOXO
Debbie
